Live painting for every kind of celebration

Every moment deserves to be painted.

I tailor every piece to your celebration — the setting, the feeling, the materials, the story. Painting that moves between realism and abstraction to catch that joyful, impossible feeling of being completely present.

The Philosophy
Things that feel like being at a really fun wedding. Like knowing another good day with the people you love will always come, and until then you can feast on this one.

About the Artist

Where storytelling
meets the canvas

I came to wedding painting through stories. As a storyboard artist with experience at Zensciences and SCAD — and tools like Toon Boom Storyboard Pro and Adobe Creative Suite — I've spent years learning how to capture the feeling of a moment: not just what it looks like, but what it means.

My style blends animation storytelling with fine art technique — layered, luminous, semi-abstract. I build up texture until the painting almost glows from within. The goal is never photorealism. The goal is to make anyone who looks at it feel what it felt like to be there.

Every piece I make is built around what makes your celebration singular — the light in your venue, the cultural threads woven through your day, the energy only you and the people you love could create together. I work from the setting outward: sometimes that means incorporating materials found at the event itself, sometimes going 3D or mixed media to give the painting the same feeling the room had.

The philosophy behind my work: things that feel like being at a really fun wedding — knowing another good day with the people you love will always come, and until then you can feast on this one.

Questions & Answers

Everything you need
to know

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes! I'm based in Chicago but available for weddings across the US. Travel fees apply for events more than [X] miles from Chicago — I'll include exact travel costs in your custom quote.

How far in advance should I book?

For live event painting, I recommend booking at least [X] months in advance — popular dates fill up quickly. For commissioned portraits, [X] weeks is usually enough, though I'm happy to discuss rush options if your timeline is tighter.

What's the live painting experience like for guests?

It tends to become one of the most talked-about moments of the evening. I set up in a spot with a good view of the room, and guests love stopping by to watch the painting develop throughout the night. By the end of the reception, it's usually surrounded by a small crowd.

How long does a commissioned portrait take?

Typically 2–4 weeks from receiving your photos and final approval of the composition. I'll keep you updated throughout and share progress photos at key stages.

Can I request specific colors, elements, or cultural symbols?

Absolutely — and I love when couples do. Whether that's incorporating a dupatta's specific color, your floral arrangements, a meaningful symbol, or the general vibe of your decor, all of it feeds into the painting. The more you tell me, the more personal the piece becomes.

Do you offer prints or digital copies?

Yes. Every commission includes high-resolution digital files of the finished piece. Print rights are yours to use for personal purposes — cards, decor, gifts. I also offer museum-quality prints as an add-on.

What if my wedding date changes?

Life happens. If your date changes, reach out as soon as possible and I'll do my best to accommodate. Date changes are handled on a case-by-case basis; details are outlined in the booking agreement.

Can I see the painting before it's finished?

For commissioned pieces, yes — I share progress photos at key stages and welcome feedback. For live painting at events, the piece develops in real time; you'll literally be able to watch it come to life.
